At Insify we're looking for a Junior Product Analyst to join our team. Have an impact building the best data-driven insurance platform in Europe!

Full-time · Amsterdam

Join the revolution to free entrepreneurs

Commercial insurance needs to change. Insify was born out of our frustration with how traditional insurers operate. Whereas fintechs have permanently reshaped the finance industry, tech has not yet disrupted insurance. We are well underway to reshape the “dull” and “tedious” image of insurance to engaging, easy, and reliable (yes, really!).

We are a tech company at heart, building our own insurance platform. We extensively rely on data (API integrations, automated workflows, machine learning) to figure out how to best get (and keep) our customer’s companies insured. Combine that with our fully online portal, real attention to UX, and leading underwriting, then getting your business insured may just become a fun experience.

About Insify

  • We’re a team led by seasoned entrepreneurs who have built successful businesses in fintech and e-commerce (HelloFresh, Bloomon, SumUp, and Blendle to name a few)
  • We raised a €15M Series A round from one of the leading investors worldwide: Accel Ventures (think Facebook, Slack, Etsy, Spotify…and the list goes on)
  • We’ve already grown a strong customer base in The Netherlands and are rapidly expanding to the rest of Europe

  • We sell our very own Insify insurance coverages by partnering with both Munich Re and Swiss Re, the #1 and #2 global reinsurers

What you'll be doing

As a Product Analyst, you'll be joining our Product team to build out our data-driven customer journey and automated back-office, that will change for good how entrepreneurs take out and manage their insurance.

You will drive better user experience by formulating the right questions and then figuring how to answer them using data analysis, machine learning, modelling, and continuous experimentation. You work with & support the Product Managers across lines and countries, leading data-driven mentality and helping to build and evaluate new products.

A day in the life of the Product Analyst:

  • Combine user research and data analysis to gain a deep understanding of the needs and wants of our customers (across verticals & markets) and identify areas of improvement
  • Conduct user interviews and market research
  • Design and set up experiments, recommend solutions and alternative solutions that enable us to understand where to focus our efforts
  • Validate the impact we make with new initiatives
  • Visualize and communicate your findings to product managers and other partners
  • Work with product teams to define key experiment metrics and KPIs

What you'll need

Below we share a list of qualities that we’re looking for in a person. But we also know that some people do not apply when they can’t reply YES to everything on the list. That’s why we’d like you to consider this list as a guideline and not as a requirement.

We are looking for amazing humans, not someone who ticks ALL boxes. So if this role seems like something for you, go ahead and apply!

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent in Business, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering or Industrial Design
  • Deeply passionate about shipping great products with great user experiences based on data
  • Solid interpersonal and collaborative skills to interact with different stakeholders
  • Big plus: knowledge of Python, Quicksight
  • You are curious by nature, have great attention to detail, and love to make things better
  • You have experience at a product-led organization or similar environments.
  • Fluency in written & spoken English
  • Fluency in either German or Dutch or is a requirement.

What we offer

  • Unparalleled opportunities for (professional) growth - this will be the ride of a lifetime
  • Be in the driver seat at a rapidly growing scale-up going international. Taking responsibility for a unique data-driven insurance platform
  • Work with highly experienced and dedicated entrepreneurs within an international team (12 nationalities!). English is our company language.
  • Work in a start-up setting, yet in cooperation with the largest reinsurer in the world
  • Remote-friendly culture, with a hip Amsterdam / Paris office/ co-working space

And ... the Social Stuff

As a team we challenge and coach each other to constantly get the best out of one another and improve our work. We know that a truly diverse team in gender, cultural background, and age can move mountains - and thus we strive for diversity of thought with every hire!

We love the pragmatism of lean and agile, continuous improvement, and the close contact with customers. At Insify we have strong deadlines and work hard, but we do so sustainably. We believe in work life balance and value our employee’s well-being first and foremost.

Whatever the work, we all love the challenge, and share the fun of learning new stuff and celebrating success (and failure!) together. We have regular social activities as a team, a dedicated employee experience specialist, and do everything to support our team’s continued growth within Insify and beyond.
